Beading & Jewelry Tips & Techniques
Working with Fine Chain

Working with fine chains can be tricky because of the small links that often will not work with jump rings, connectors and other findings. Take advantage of the wire wrapping technique to attach fine chain links.

For example, when you need to attach a clasp to chain that is too fine to use jump rings, create a beaded wire wrapped link to connect your chain to a clasp or other component. Use 26 gauge wire or (smaller if necessary) and a small bead in a coordinating color to create a link.
